Graduate Trainee – 30‑Month Rotational Program in Mining

About the role

The Sandvik Central Africa Graduate Programme is a 30‑month rotational scheme designed for recent engineering graduates who want hands‑on experience in the mining sector. Participants will rotate through all technical and service departments, receiving training, mentorship and exposure to senior experts.

Key responsibilities

• Complete rotations across electrical, mechanical, industrial and service functions.
• Assist senior engineers on projects and maintenance activities.
• Apply engineering principles to real‑world mining equipment and processes.
• Participate in problem‑solving sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain safety and health standards in a mining environment.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field, or a certificate/diploma in automotive, electrical, mechanical or heavy‑equipment repair.
• Graduated in 2024 or 2025.
• Maximum age of 26 years.
• Strong interest in the mining industry and goal‑oriented mindset.
• Physically and medically fit to work onsite in a mining setting.
