Funded 6‑Month Traineeship in Political, Press & Information – EU Delegation Tanzania

About the role

The EU Delegation in Tanzania offers a six‑month funded traineeship for recent graduates interested in international relations, diplomacy and public communication. The placement runs from 10 August 2026 to 9 February 2027 within the Political, Press and Information Section.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Section head by analysing political developments and drafting reports, speeches and briefings.
• Liaise with EU Member State embassies, attend meetings, and assist in organising official visits and diplomatic events.
• Monitor governance issues, draft Note Verbales and contribute to outreach with Tanzanian authorities.
• Assist the Press and Information Officer in public‑diplomacy initiatives, event organisation and communication campaigns.

Required profile

• Young graduate with at least a Bachelor degree (or equivalent).
• Maximum one year of professional experience after graduation.
• Excellent command of English.
• No more than six weeks of prior experience in EU institutions.
