Finance Officer

About the role

Educate! is seeking a Finance Officer to support the financial operations of its Tanzania office. The role focuses on accurate record‑keeping, transaction processing, and strengthening financial controls within a fast‑growing youth employment organization.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely posting of transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts on a regular basis.
• Enforce financial controls and compliance with internal policies and donor requirements.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and follow‑up on payments.
• Train staff on finance procedures, QuickBooks usage, and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and proactive professional with strong analytical abilities.
• Experience in financial operations, preferably in a non‑profit or development context.
• Ability to communicate finance processes clearly to non‑finance staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
