Finance Business Partner

About the role

The Finance Business Partner will provide critical financial insight to senior stakeholders, enabling data‑driven decisions that support the growth of the bank. Based in Dar es Salaam, the role focuses on performance analysis, budgeting, cost management and risk oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business performance using management information, financial modelling and data analysis for key projects.
• Develop and present financial metrics, including Monthly Business Review Packs, Board papers and Country Management Packs.
• Prepare annual and half‑year forecasts, support Medium‑Term Planning (MTP) and Short‑Term Planning (STP) processes.
• Challenge cost commitments, identify efficiency opportunities and produce cost‑reduction reports.
• Maintain risk procedures, monitor mitigation actions and drive remediation of audit exceptions.
• Build strong relationships with senior managers and act as the primary finance interface with the Regional Office.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of financial modelling and advanced Excel functionality.
• Proficiency in creating clear PowerPoint presentations for senior audiences.
• Ability to quickly learn and interrogate banking systems such as Finacle, Vision and SQL databases.
• Excellent communication skills with the capacity to summarise large data sets into concise formats.
• Solid understanding of banking strategic objectives, value drivers and key account lines (income, staff costs, recharges, depreciation, impairments).
