Facilities Operations Manager

About the role

The Facilities Operations Manager will lead day‑to‑day operations across all ZO Spaces locations in Dar es Salaam, ensuring the buildings run efficiently, safely and in line with the company’s innovative standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily facility operations across all ZO Spaces sites.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety and operational standards.
• Oversee AC, electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.
• Manage cleaners, handymen and maintenance staff.
• Conduct daily facility inspections following SOPs.
• Coordinate with contracted security firms for guard deployment and performance.
• Monitor building access control, CCTV systems and enforce security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety and statutory building regulations.
• Maintain compliance documentation, inspection logs and service records.
• Manage vendor relationships for maintenance and service contracts.
• Monitor stock levels of maintenance materials and supplies.
• Resolve tenant complaints and technical issues promptly.
• Prepare weekly facilities and compliance reports for management.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in facilities operations and facility management.
• Proven experience in operations management and workflow optimisation.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programmes.
• Excellent supervisory skills for managing facility staff.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• Prior experience in modern or technology‑enabled facilities is an advantage.
