External Audit Services – 1 Year Contract

About the role

Tanzania Girl Guides Association (TGGA) is inviting reputable external audit firms to provide an independent professional opinion on its financial statements and project expenditures for the financial year ending December 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct an external audit in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) using representative sampling, substantive testing and on‑site visits.
• Verify that all income, donor funds and program expenditures comply with approved work plans, budgets and TGGA internal policies.
• Assess the physical existence, condition and location of institutional and project‑funded assets against the fixed‑asset register.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal accounting controls, cash handling and electronic data security/retention systems.
• Review procurement processes to ensure competitive, transparent acquisition of goods and services in line with TGGA guidelines.
• Identify, evaluate and report on fraud and statutory compliance risks.

Required profile

• Registered external audit firm with a valid business license.
• Official certificate of registration/incorporation, valid TIN and VAT registration certificates.
• Ability to submit a technical and financial proposal (maximum 20 PDF pages) detailing methodology, audit team composition, work plan and budget.

Required skills

• Knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
• Experience with representative sampling and substantive testing.
• Proficiency in on‑site audit execution and asset verification.
• Expertise in evaluating internal controls, cash handling and data security.
• Competence in reviewing procurement systems and assessing fraud risk.
