Electrical Site Engineer

About the role

VEGA Electric is seeking an Electrical Site Engineer to join its on‑site team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The role supports planning, execution and documentation of electrical projects, working closely with technicians, engineers and supervisors to ensure safe and efficient delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with installation, inspection and maintenance of LV panels, HT switchgear and related electrical systems.
• Prepare and update project reports, documentation and progress records.
• Coordinate daily activities with internal teams and client representatives.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and technical specifications.
• Support troubleshooting and technical inquiries on site.

Required profile

• Relevant diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of basic electrical principles, components and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Proficiency with standard office tools such as word processors and spreadsheets.
• Effective communication, teamwork and organizational skills.
