Deputy Representative Operations (P-5) – Temporary (4 months)

About the role

This temporary position supports the Head of Office in Dar es Salaam as a Strategic Business Partner and Deputy Representative Operations. The role is responsible for driving results, managing change, and providing risk‑informed, solution‑focused analysis to guide programme and management decisions that benefit children across Tanzania.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head of Office in overall office management and strategic planning.
• Act as Officer in Charge during the Head’s absence, ensuring continuity of operations.
• Lead and coordinate functional service areas, including finance, procurement, logistics, and human resources.
• Provide analytical advice on operational risks and develop practical solutions.
• Support the implementation of UNICEF’s Country Programme 2022‑2027, focusing on inclusive socioeconomic development.

Required profile

• Senior professional with extensive experience in operations, programme management, and strategic partnership.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex organisational contexts.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in risk assessment and solution development.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
