About the role

The Deputy Representative Operations serves as the strategic business partner to the Head of Office, driving results, change and risk‑informed analysis across the country office. This senior position supports programme and management decisions while ensuring efficient delivery of UNICEF’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Head of Office in overall office management and act as Officer in Charge when required.
• Oversee budget, financial management and reporting, facilities, administration, supply and logistics, ICT, safety and security.
• Contribute to Country Programme Documents, Country Programme Management Plans and Annual Management Plans using Value for Money criteria.
• Lead internal and external audit processes, respond to observations and monitor implementation of recommendations.
• Ensure the office is prepared for humanitarian and emergency contexts, complying with Core Commitments for Children.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Business Management, Financial Management, Accounting, Public Finance, Supply Chain, HR, IT, International Business, Project Management or related field, or a professional accounting designation with active membership.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience at national and international level in strategic operations, finance or supply chain management.
