Customer Service Executive

About the role

Bridgeway Shipping is seeking a full-time Customer Service Executive to join its on-site team in Tanzania. The role focuses on responding to client inquiries, delivering accurate information on shipping, freight and customs clearance, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout the logistics journey.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer inquiries and requests via phone, email or chat.
• Provide timely, accurate details on shipping schedules, freight rates and clearing procedures.
• Maintain and update shipment documentation and records.
• Collaborate with operations and sales teams to resolve issues and improve service quality.
• Track customer interactions in the CRM system and ensure follow-up.

Required profile

• Strong customer service orientation with professional communication skills.
• Experience in logistics, shipping or freight forwarding is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional regional languages are advantageous.
• Good organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Tanzania and function well in a team environment.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer systems and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
