Country People Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Country People Lead for Tanzania to serve as the senior HR leader responsible for shaping and delivering the people agenda across the country. Reporting to the Country Leadership Team, you will act as a trusted advisor, aligning people strategies with business objectives to drive growth, culture, and employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Country Leadership Team to translate business strategy into people plans, including organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
• Lead the implementation of the People Cycle across Tanzania, ensuring consistent HR processes and compliance.
• Drive talent management initiatives such as succession planning, leadership development, and critical talent pipeline building.
• Provide strategic counsel on leadership effectiveness and foster a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to embed people programs that deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all people‑related policies and Tanzanian legislation.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR leadership experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong partnership skills with senior business leaders and ability to influence strategy.
• Deep understanding of talent management, succession planning, and organizational development.
• Excellent communication and change management capabilities.
• Ability to drive culture and employee experience initiatives.
