Country Manager – Tanzania (Mining Explosives)

About the role

Dyno Nobel Limited is seeking an experienced, self‑motivated Country Manager to lead all in‑country mining explosives activities in Tanzania. You will be responsible for the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of on‑site explosives manufacturing, blasting services and technical support to key mining clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations at customer mine sites and oversee explosives service delivery.
• Manage on‑site manufacturing units, emulsion plants and magazines.
• Oversee blasting services including loading, priming, tie‑in and blast execution support.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards, explosives regulations and company requirements.
• Establish and monitor budgets, P&L performance and drive cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, government bodies and local communities.

Required profile

• Degree or Masters in Engineering (Mining, Civil, Chemistry) or a Masters in Management/Administration.
• Strong operational background in blasting, explosives manufacturing or technical services.
• Proven ability to manage large customer contracts and site‑based operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of explosives regulations and mining safety standards.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with government, customers and communities.
