Country Lead: Procurement

About the role

Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd is seeking a senior procurement professional to lead the country’s procurement function. The role reports directly to the Finance Director and is responsible for shaping procurement strategy, driving cost efficiencies and ensuring alignment with group objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and direct the procurement vision, targets and ways of working for the country in line with HQ goals.
• Lead the procurement organisation, manage direct reports, set targets, conduct performance reviews and drive career development.
• Collaborate with Group Office procurement teams to create category strategies and implement group decisions.
• Manage the BBBEE procurement agenda and align with local policies.
• Lead strategic sourcing for MRO, marketing & sales and professional services, negotiate contracts and drive cost reductions.
• Maintain an updated contract repository, evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement plans.
• Monitor procurement KPIs, budgets and savings plans, and report to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field; procurement qualification or master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of leadership experience, preferably in FMCG.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of procurement policies, market trends and competitive landscape.
• Deep knowledge of end‑to‑end procurement processes, legal contracting and supplier management.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments, make decisions with incomplete information and manage risk.
• Excellent negotiation skills, able to achieve cost reductions while maintaining relationships.
