Corporate Communications Officer

About the role

The Corporate Communications Officer will lead Barrick’s branding and media messaging in Tanzania, ensuring alignment with global standards and safeguarding the corporate identity across all channels. The role also implements the internal communication strategy at country level, fostering employee engagement and a positive organisational culture.

Key responsibilities

• Embed and promote Barrick’s DNA in all communications.
• Execute the internal communications strategy and manage the In‑Reach program to deliver timely information to the workforce.
• Drive DNA awareness across the organisation through targeted campaigns.
• Support AME and global initiatives, ensuring consistent dissemination of corporate messages, standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with country leadership and corporate communications to develop a country‑specific communication strategy and engagement content.
• Manage branding for industry events, exhibitions, forums and media briefings in line with corporate identity.
• Prepare and deliver written communications, reports and social‑media updates for employees and stakeholders.
• Oversee digital communication platforms and create content for internal and external audiences.
• Work with HR and CSR teams to implement internal initiatives, campaigns and engagement activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in corporate and internal communications.
• Strong understanding of branding guidelines and ability to apply them consistently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
