Compliance Executive

About the role

The Compliance Executive will support TEMTL’s compliance programme across its operations in Tanzania. Reporting to the Compliance Officer, the role ensures that due‑diligence processes, training, and communication are effectively delivered to staff, partners and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct due‑diligence searches, follow up questionnaires and support business contacts and third parties throughout the process.
• Coordinate the “Tone at the Top” programme and promote awareness of the code of conduct and related policies.
• Organise quarterly compliance training for staff and external stakeholders, in partnership with the Human Resources department.
• Maintain and improve the compliance communication programme, ensuring alignment with Group directives.
• Monitor and record customer complaints related to ethics and compliance, and prepare annual compliance reports.
• Create purchase orders, generate goods receipts, manage filing systems and ensure proper distribution of memos, letters and invoices.
• Provide administrative support to finance and accounts teams, including stationery provision.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Business degree or equivalent from a recognised university.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate professionally and diplomatically to a wide range of people.
• Self‑starter, detail‑oriented and highly organised.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, report writing and presentation abilities.
• Action‑oriented mindset.
