Civil Engineer – Design & Construction Projects

About the role

TAIC CONSORTIUM LIMITED is seeking a full‑time Civil Engineer to join its on‑site team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. You will be responsible for designing, planning and supervising construction and infrastructure projects while ensuring structural integrity, safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, drawings and technical reports for civil works.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and other engineers to align project deliverables.
• Assess stormwater management and drainage requirements and propose optimisation solutions.
• Support project management with cost estimates, risk assessments and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field; professional registration is a plus.
• Proven experience on multidisciplinary construction or infrastructure projects, preferably in Tanzania or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of stormwater management practices and relevant local/international standards.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities for on‑site collaboration.
