CFO / Global Director of Finance

About the role

Educate! is seeking a visionary financial leader to serve as CFO/Global Director of Finance, based in Tanzania. Reporting to the board and senior executives, the role will shape the organization’s global financial strategy and ensure fiscal sustainability across all operating regions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and long‑term economic strategy development.
• Oversee financial controls, internal audits and compliance with statutory and international reporting standards.
• Manage global cash flows, capital allocations and currency risk, mitigating financial vulnerabilities.
• Partner with the board of directors and senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and report on financial health and operational performance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• Recognized professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA).
• Extensive senior‑level leadership experience in financial management, preferably within international NGOs, global organisations or corporate finance.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑country operations and drive strategic financial decisions.
