CCTV Supervisor

About the role

The CCTV Supervisor will be based at Bulyanhulu Mine in Tanzania, reporting to the Security Superintendent. The role oversees general security activities, supervises contractor and local guard teams, and ensures compliance with Barrick’s security standards and the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate resources and logistics to deliver timely and professional security services.
• Monitor departmental performance metrics and ensure shift‑by‑shift alignment with targets.
• Maintain security prevention awareness and promptly report deficiencies.
• Prepare accurate oral, written, incident and safety reports.
• Conduct parade checks, deploy personnel, and assess team members according to Barrick policies.
• Investigate and escalate breaches in security policy.
• Report functional breakdowns in access systems to technicians immediately.
• Perform daily inspections of card readers at all access points.
• Carry out weekly fence‑line inspections and submit findings on time.
• Ensure work procedures in plant and operations sections are followed.
• Train and hold security staff accountable to policies and procedures.
• Make practical, value‑based decisions and adapt to changing department needs.

Required profile

• Experience supervising contractor security personnel and local guards.
• Familiarity with the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
• Knowledge of Barrick/BGML security standards and procedures.
• Ability to investigate breaches, report incidents and work under pressure.
• Self‑directed, initiative‑taking and capable of both team and individual work.
