Business Development Manager – Hotel Software Sales

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sales of Zansync, a mandatory hotel‑fiscal integration solution for Zanzibar’s hospitality sector. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting hotels across Unguja and Pemba to closing contracts and ensuring successful go‑live.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach hotels, lodges and resorts throughout Zanzibar.
• Meet General Managers, owners and finance managers to explain ZRA compliance requirements.
• Demonstrate the Zansync platform, address objections and negotiate integration fees and monthly retainers.
• Close deals, hand over clients to the technical team and follow through until the solution is live.
• Maintain ongoing relationships to secure renewals, referrals and upsells.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of B2B sales experience in Tanzania (software, hospitality, financial or professional services).
• Proven track record of closing deals of USD 1,000 or more.
• Comfortable engaging directly with hotel owners and senior managers.
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili, both written and spoken.
• Based in Zanzibar or willing to relocate immediately; valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Experience with tax compliance or fiscal systems (e.g., EFD).
• Knowledge of hotel operations, PMS or front‑office finance processes.
• Ability to deliver live software demonstrations.

What we offer

• Base salary TZS 900,000 per month (rising to TZS 1,300,000 after confirmation).
• Commission of 10 % on integration fees and the first twelve months of retainers, with accelerator up to 15 %.
• Quarterly bonus of TZS 1,500,000 for meeting targets.
• Full statutory employment (ZSSF, ZHSF, PAYE) with paid leave and holidays.
