Business Development Executive

About the role

Our client, a well-established company in the Steel Manufacturing and Building Materials Industry, is seeking a dynamic Business Development Executive to drive sales growth, develop new business opportunities, and strengthen market presence in Mbeya, Tanzania.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve assigned targets.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities and potential customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Promote and sell steel and building material products.
• Conduct market visits and identify customer needs and sales opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, sales reports, and forecasts.
• Negotiate with customers within approved commercial limits.
• Follow up on leads, quotations, orders, deliveries, and payments.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure effective customer service and order fulfillment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 – 6 years of relevant sales and marketing experience.
• Experience in steel, building materials, cement, ceramics, hardware, construction materials, or related industries.
• Proven B2B sales and business development experience.
• Strong customer relationship management and market development skills.
• Commercially aware, proactive, self‑motivated, and target‑driven.
