Business Development Associate – Sales Engineer

About the role

Petropipe is seeking a Business Development Associate / Sales Engineer to expand its market presence in the energy, petrochemical and industrial sectors. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, managing key accounts and delivering technical sales support for piping, valves and instrumentation products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and generate new business opportunities and RFQs across assigned regions.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis and support business development initiatives.
• Handle customer inquiries, prepare techno‑commercial quotations, proposals and presentations.
• Coordinate with manufacturers for technical and commercial support.
• Support trading activities, including sourcing, pricing and supplier follow‑up.
• Negotiate orders, follow up on offers and ensure smooth order execution.
• Manage logistics, shipment tracking, delivery follow‑up and related documentation.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, conduct visits and monitor satisfaction.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports on visits, RFQs, quotes and order projections.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in industrial sales or trading of mechanical and instrumentation products.
• Proven ability to achieve annual sales targets.
• Strong communication, negotiation and customer coordination skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pipes, valves, flanges, fittings and instrumentation items.
• Experience in preparing techno‑commercial quotations and handling RFQs.
• Logistics coordination and supplier management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and commercial documentation.
