Business Development Assistant

About the role

The Business Development Assistant will support the growth of our services by identifying new market opportunities, building client relationships, and assisting the sales team in closing deals. This role is based in Dar es Salaam and works closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to ensure customer needs are met.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively generate leads through networking, cold calling, and social media outreach.
• Identify and evaluate new market segments and potential clients.
• Prepare and deliver customized proposals, pitches, and presentations.
• Conduct market research to track industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences.
• Support the creation of business plans and set targets to increase profit and market share.
• Collaborate with marketing on campaign support and with product teams to align offerings with client requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in sales or business development.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and achieve set targets.
• Strong analytical, research, and presentation abilities.
