Audit Manager

About the role

The Audit Manager will lead financial and operational audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of client organisations in Tanzania. Based in Dar es Salaam, this full‑time, on‑site position reports to senior leadership and works closely with clients to enhance governance and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalise audit projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Review financial statements, identify risks, assess internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Supervise and mentor audit team members, allocating tasks and reviewing work papers.
• Coordinate audit schedules with clients, maintaining clear communication throughout the engagement.
• Prepare concise audit reports for management and stakeholders, highlighting findings and actionable recommendations.
• Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations and best practices.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of experience conducting financial audits and working with financial statements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and ethical standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
