Attendant 3 - Tool Keeper

About the role

The Attendant 3 – Tool Keeper will support the HME team in handling and managing tools at the Geita Gold Mine. Working closely with supervisors and resource coordinators, the role ensures tools are inspected, issued, returned and recorded accurately to maintain effective maintenance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect tools for cracks, damage or defects and record findings accurately.
• Maintain daily tool database control and proper records of tools in the tool keeping room and those issued to employees.
• Track and report tool shortages, and keep records of tools not returned or lost.
• Support effective tool issue and return processes to maintain resource availability.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and meet work delivery deadlines.
• Observe all relevant safety requirements and carry out work as directed by supervisors.

Required profile

• Certificate of Secondary School Education.
• Valid Tanzania Driving License.
• Certificate of Computer Knowledge.
• At least 2 years experience as a tool keeper (mining experience advantageous).
• Good written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
• No criminal record and commitment to safe work practices.
