Assistant Internal Auditor – Dar es Salaam

About the role

StratoStaff is looking for a qualified Assistant Internal Auditor to strengthen its internal control, risk management and compliance framework. The role is based in Dar es Salaam and reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate enterprise‑wide and process‑based risk assessments.
• Assist in developing and executing risk‑based audit plans and advisory reviews.
• Perform audit procedures, walkthroughs and interviews across financial, operational and IT processes.
• Develop and maintain risk and control matrices and related documentation.
• Conduct forensic audits and investigations into irregularities or fraud.
• Verify compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Track implementation of audit recommendations and ensure closure of issues raised by internal, external or tax audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Part‑professional qualification (e.g., CPA(T), ACCA, CISA, CFA, CIA) is an advantage.
• 1–3 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, compliance or assurance.
