Agribusiness Relationship Manager

About the role

The Agribusiness Relationship Manager will lead the growth of NBC's retail agribusiness portfolio. You will identify new opportunities across the agricultural value chain, assess credit applications, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality agribusiness loans.

Key responsibilities

• Drive portfolio growth by sourcing and securing new agribusiness business across Tanzania.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with clients, government bodies, development partners, industry associations, and other financial institutions.
• Collaborate with branch and head‑office teams to meet growth targets and expand the agribusiness book.
• Develop business cases, strategic proposals, and market‑penetration initiatives.
• Partner with Product Development to design, launch, and monitor innovative agribusiness products.
• Ensure compliance with agribusiness policies, monitor loan performance, and support risk mitigation.
• Provide guidance to branches on managing stressed or non‑performing agribusiness assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in agribusiness credit, banking, or relationship management.
