Advocate for Youth Water Initiatives

About the role

The Company Advocate will represent World Youth Parliament for Water in Dar es Salaam, driving local and regional initiatives that empower young people to engage with water‑related challenges. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on building partnerships, organising outreach, and communicating the organization’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the organization in local and regional water‑related initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with community groups, public institutions and partner networks.
• Organise outreach activities, events and campaigns to promote youth engagement in water issues.
• Prepare advocacy materials, reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.
• Contribute to social‑media content and public communications.
• Support capacity‑building workshops for youth volunteers and members.

Required profile

• Strong public speaking and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Experience in community outreach, youth engagement or program coordination, preferably in water, environment or sustainable development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Swahili or other local languages are an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, environmental studies, communications, international relations or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Commitment to social impact, youth empowerment and inclusive, non‑discriminatory practices.
