Accountant – Financial & Operational Support (Mwanza)

About the role

Sandvik Mining & Construction Tanzania Limited is seeking a qualified Accountant to join its Mwanza office. The role provides financial and operational support to the service business, ensuring accurate reporting, profitability analysis, and effective budget management.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor work‑in‑progress (WIP), analyse profitability and prepare management reports.
• Track and close open jobs weekly, conduct quarterly WIP counts.
• Prepare workshop and field service performance reports and profitability analyses.
• Develop quarterly and annual forecasts, budgets and perform monthly variance analysis.
• Generate customer invoices, quotations for service contracts and equipment.
• Produce monthly sales reports in OneStream and other financial statements with commentary.
• Execute balance‑sheet reconciliations, assist with Capex monitoring and internal control testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of finance or accounting experience.
• Experience in the mining or related industrial sector is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OneStream financial reporting software.
