Accommodation Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accommodation Manager to lead the guest‑facing departments of our luxury resort in Zanzibar. The role combines operational oversight with a strong focus on personalized service, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable stay.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front office, concierge, housekeeping, porter and butler teams (approximately 20 staff).
• Maintain 5‑star service standards and compliance with international hospitality norms and Relais & Châteaux commitments.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and heads of F&B, spa, sales and other departments.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor occupancy, guest‑satisfaction and cost‑control metrics.
• Handle guest complaints and sensitive issues with professionalism and discretion.
• Lead, train and motivate the accommodation team to deliver outstanding, personalized guest experiences.

Required profile

• Degree in hospitality management, luxury tourism or related field (BTS, Bachelor, MBA).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role at a luxury hotel or international 5‑star property.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); French is a plus.
• Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal abilities.
• International experience, preferably in Africa, is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hotel management systems (e.g., Property Management System – PMS).
