Senior Technical Officer (STO), Demand Planning – HIV & Tuberculosis (TB)

About the role

The Senior Technical Officer (STO) will provide technical support to Tanzania’s National AIDS, STIs and Hepatitis Control Program (NASHCOP) and the National TB and Leprosy Program (NTLP). The focus is on ensuring the availability and efficient management of HIV and TB commodities through robust demand planning and supply‑chain systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to NASHCOP, NTLP and other stakeholders on HIV and TB commodity demand planning and supply‑chain management.
• Lead forecasting, quantification and supply planning activities, including bottom‑up quantification exercises and pipeline analyses.
• Ensure timely availability of quality HIV and TB commodities at all health‑system levels.
• Support design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of integrated TB‑HIV interventions.
• Identify supply‑chain risks, track supplies and recommend mitigation measures.
• Build capacity of government counterparts and frontline workers on logistics and supply‑chain systems.
• Prepare technical reports, knowledge products and contribute to business‑development activities.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in public‑health supply‑chain, demand planning or logistics for HIV/TB programs.
• Proven ability to work with government agencies and multi‑stakeholder environments.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and capacity‑building abilities.
