Regional Clinical Services Coordinator - Zanzibar

About the role

The Regional Clinical Services Coordinator provides technical leadership and coordination for the implementation, quality improvement, and scale‑up of comprehensive HIV and TB services under the EpiC & AFGHS‑FHI360 projects in Zanzibar. The role mentors clinical staff, resolves programmatic challenges, and drives data‑driven improvements across the HIV/TB continuum of care.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee technical implementation and quality of HTS, prevention, care, treatment, AHD, PMTCT/EID, TB, NCD integration and cervical cancer screening at supported sites.
• Lead, supervise and coordinate regional technical activities, ensuring consistency with central technical team guidance.
• Monitor program performance against targets, identify service gaps and provide timely technical support.
• Build capacity of district health management teams (DHMTs) through training, mentorship, and supportive supervision.
• Coordinate HIV/TB integration activities, quarterly joint DHMT supportive supervision, and development of best‑practice presentations.
• Collaborate with regional and central teams, health authorities, and other stakeholders to strengthen coordination and self‑reliance of services.

Required profile

• Medical degree with national registration; Master’s in Public Health is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in HIV/TB clinical services, preferably in public‑health or donor‑funded programs.
• Proven experience in program implementation, clinical mentorship, supportive supervision and quality improvement.
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
