Grants and Finance Officer

About the role

The Grants and Finance Officer will support the organization’s mission to improve the lives of vulnerable children by managing financial resources, partner relationships, and procurement processes. This role ensures compliance with donor requirements and contributes to effective project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage finance, budgeting, fixed‑asset register and fleet oversight (40%).
• Review monthly partner reports, assess partner capacity and support partner retirements (30%).
• Process timely payments to vendors, partners and beneficiaries, ensuring proper documentation (15%).
• Prepare and monitor procurement plans, maintain complete procurement records (5%).
• Assist project staff with timesheets and labour distribution reports (5%).
• Support audit processes and respond to audit queries promptly (5%).

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in a donor‑funded environment with budgeting, financial management and partner coordination.
• At least one year of experience with an international NGO is preferred.
• Strong organizational abilities and prior supervisory experience.
• Excellent oral and written English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with project accounting and financial reporting.
