FTTX Insight & Reporting Engineer

About the role

The FTTX Insight & Reporting Engineer is responsible for end‑to‑end service assurance analytics across Vodacom Tanzania’s fiber‑to‑the‑home ecosystem. You will monitor network performance, generate actionable insights and ensure a high‑quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor ONT, OLT, GPON, BNG and related platforms using OSS, NMS and analytics tools.
• Produce daily, weekly, monthly and executive performance reports and dashboards.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of recurring faults, congestion and major incidents.
• Support capacity planning and provide optimization recommendations to engineering teams.
• Develop automated reporting solutions and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with CSOC, Access Network, IP Core, Customer Care, IT and Engineering teams.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of FTTX and GPON technologies.
• Experience with service assurance, KPI tracking and performance monitoring.
• Ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
