FMCG Sales Specialist – Southern Tanzania

About the role

The Southern Sales Specialist will drive sales growth and expand market coverage across the Southern Zone of Tanzania. You will develop new customers, manage existing accounts, and ensure effective product distribution while monitoring market activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to meet assigned targets.
• Identify and acquire new customers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and business partners.
• Follow up on orders, ensure timely delivery, and monitor stock levels at customer outlets.
• Conduct regular market visits to uncover opportunities and understand customer needs.
• Track competitors, market trends, pricing, and promotional activities.
• Handle customer complaints and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and support receivables management.
• Prepare accurate sales, market, and activity reports.
• Support promotional campaigns, product launches, and other marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG or consumer goods.
• Strong knowledge of the Southern Tanzania market and established customer networks.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new accounts.
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Southern Zone.
