Recovery Officer

About the role

PalmPay is looking for a proactive Recovery Officer to locate and retrieve company assets from defaulting customers, dealers, or third parties. The role combines field investigations with coordination across internal teams and external partners to minimise financial loss.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field visits to locate and recover assets from defaulting parties.
• Investigate ownership, status and condition of assets.
• Collaborate with dealers, agents, legal authorities and local officials to facilitate recovery.
• Prepare detailed recovery reports and recommend actions or escalations.
• Maintain accurate records of recovered assets, pending cases and recovery activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations and ethical standards.
• Escalate high‑risk or disputed cases to the Fraud & Investigation Manager.
• Provide verified information to collections and fraud‑prevention teams.
• Suggest improvements to asset‑recovery processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Business Administration, Criminology, Law, Security Studies or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in asset recovery, field investigations, debt collection or compliance.
• Strong knowledge of asset tracking, recovery methods and legal procedures.
• Familiarity with fraud‑prevention and investigative techniques.
• Ex‑police, ex‑military or security personnel with relevant field experience are highly encouraged.
