Office Infrastructure Maintenance and Admin Executive

About the role

The Office Infrastructure Maintenance & Administration Executive will ensure the smooth operation, upkeep and administration of Car & General Trading Limited’s office facilities in Dar es Salaam. The role combines preventive and corrective maintenance of building systems, asset management and support for day‑to‑day administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of office buildings, workspaces and common areas.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for electrical, air‑conditioning, plumbing, sanitation, office furniture, generators and fire‑safety equipment.
• Maintain maintenance schedules, service records and ensure compliance with health, safety and regulatory standards.
• Manage an up‑to‑date inventory of office assets, oversee tagging, movement, repairs and disposal.
• Allocate office space, support renovations and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Procure office supplies, manage stock and oversee utility services such as electricity, water, internet and telephone.
• Coordinate travel, accommodation and logistics arrangements when required.
• Maintain records of service contracts, warranties and vendor agreements, and assist in budget preparation for facility‑related expenses.
• Source, evaluate and monitor maintenance service providers against agreed SLAs, ensuring contractor compliance with safety and security procedures.
• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections, maintain fire extinguishers, emergency exits and safety signage.
