Human Capital Intern

About the role

This internship provides hands‑on experience within Human Capital Operations of a leading African bank. You will support job architecture, employee data administration and HR governance while gaining insight into HR processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support the review, update and maintenance of the Bank's Job Catalogue, job profiles and organisational structures.
• Assist in job analysis by gathering information on role responsibilities, reporting lines, qualifications and key accountabilities.
• Maintain records of approved job descriptions, organisational structures and position documentation.
• Provide administrative support for employee lifecycle administration, records management and data maintenance.
• Ensure employee files are accurate, complete, up‑to‑date and compliant with policies.
• Validate employee and position data regularly to maintain data integrity in HR systems.
• Support periodic audits of employee files, HR records and organisational data for compliance.
• Respond to routine employee inquiries and escalate issues when necessary.
• Prepare HR correspondence, documentation, presentations and meeting materials.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and business information.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a degree programme related to Human Resources, Business Administration or a similar field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established policies and procedures.
• Understanding of risk and control principles and willingness to adhere to them.
