Customer Service Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our Business Center team. The role combines data‑entry, banking operations, cash handling and front‑line customer support to ensure smooth service delivery for vulnerable communities.

Key responsibilities

• Accurate data entry and verification when tablet systems fail.
• Process banking activities: register payments, issue receipts, initiate cheque payments, perform bank reconciliations and handle correspondence.
• Manage petty cash, cash and cheque disbursements, and purchase office supplies following policy.
• Respond to customer inquiries, promote savings products, guide clients to the appropriate channels and resolve ATM‑related issues.
• Prepare and submit reports on ATM card losses, mobile line issues, disbursement problems and asset deliveries.
• Mobilise and market savings accounts, open new accounts and ensure KYC compliance.
• Maintain custody of client loan collaterals, documents and business‑center stationery; handle parcel receipt and dispatch.

Required profile

• Degree holder in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of data‑entry processes and financial information handling.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
