Construction Technician – Site Acquisition & Installation

About the role

The Construction Technician will turn validated sites into operational Jaza hubs or shops across Tanzania. You will be responsible for assessing locations, securing leases, overseeing renovations, and installing all necessary assets while maintaining high quality and low re‑work rates.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned sites, complete detailed assessments and identify viable service locations.
• Negotiate lease terms within budget, prepare documentation and maintain landlord relationships.
• Define renovation needs, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and supervise installation of hub or shop equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with structural, safety and Jaza quality standards.
• Track and report progress to the Construction Engineer, keeping re‑work rates at ≤5%.

Required profile

• Proven experience in site assessment, leasing, renovation or installation projects.
• Strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including vendors, contractors and landlords.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to work independently on field assignments and meet acquisition targets.
