CFS Equipment Operator

About the role

The CFS Equipment Operator ensures that all activities within the Container Freight Station run smoothly, safely and efficiently. Working under the direction of the Shift Supervisor, you will operate cargo‑handling equipment, load and unload containers, and support yard operations to meet daily plans.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload containers and cargo as directed.
• Operate forklifts (including clamp attachments) for warehouse and receiving tasks.
• Operate reach stackers and empty handlers as required.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any defects.
• Follow all HSSE and PPE requirements and immediately address unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Execute daily work assignments from CFS supervisors.
• Participate in ongoing training and safety coordination.

Required profile

• Ability to operate reach stackers.
• Ability to operate forklifts equipped with clamp attachments.
• Understanding of safe cargo and container handling procedures.
• Basic equipment inspection and defect reporting skills.
