Business Development & Marketing Consultant (6‑month contract)

About the role

Farm Radio International is seeking a Business Development and Marketing Consultant to support the Interactive Radio for Ecologically Sustainable Agricultural Practices (IRESAP) Phase II project in Tanzania. The consultant will work with five radio stations in Central and Northern Tanzania to create a sustainable business model for food‑systems‑oriented radio programming.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive marketing plan for the radio program.
• Identify and secure business deals and investor interest for agroecology‑focused content.
• Collaborate with radio stations to align programming with market opportunities.
• Support the creation of advertorial segments that generate revenue.
• Assist stations in developing sustainability plans and business engagements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development and marketing, preferably within media or agricultural sectors.
• Ability to work closely with radio stations and diverse stakeholders in Tanzania.
• Strong understanding of sustainable food systems and agroecology concepts.
