Audit Manager – Transaction Banking Technology & Operations

About the role

Standard Chartered Bank’s Group Internal Audit & Investigations is looking for an Audit Manager to lead technology and operations audits within its Transaction Banking division. The role provides independent assurance over payments operations and related technology across a multi‑jurisdictional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead risk‑based audits across the full payments value chain – initiation, processing, clearing, settlement and reconciliation.
• Assess design and effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal controls for payment systems and infrastructure.
• Evaluate technology and application risks such as access management, data integrity, system interfaces, change management, resilience and incident handling.
• Apply data‑analytics and technology‑enabled audit techniques to identify control gaps and emerging risks.
• Conduct ongoing risk assessments covering products, channels, technology, regulation and operating models.
• Prepare clear audit reports, communicate findings and challenge management on risk and control matters.
• Track remediation actions and ensure timely resolution of audit issues.
• Collaborate with internal audit colleagues and business stakeholders to deliver coordinated coverage and enterprise‑wide risk insight.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of external (Big 4) and/or internal audit experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Technology or related field.
• Professional certifications such as CISA or CIA are advantageous.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end transaction banking operations and associated technology risks.
