Adjunct Instructor (In‑person) – Zanzibar

About the role

The Graduate Institute at the School for International Training (SIT) is building a pool of part‑time adjunct instructors to teach graduate courses in Zanzibar. This on‑site position supports a range of Master’s and doctoral programs focused on climate change, natural resource management, and sustainable livelihoods.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instruction that aligns with course objectives, learning outcomes, and student audience.
• Create an inclusive, experiential learning environment that supports student success.
• Maintain accurate records, submit grades and reports on time, and enforce academic and conduct policies.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree in a field relevant to the course topics.
• Professional experience related to the course subject matter.
• Graduate teaching experience is desirable.
• Background in inclusive teaching, global education, and experiential learning.
• Familiarity with the Canvas learning management system is preferred.
