Quantity Surveyor – Tendering, Estimation & Bidding

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead tendering, estimation and commercial bidding for a steel fabrication company handling structural steel, PEB, mining, tank, silo, piping and industrial projects. The role involves ensuring accurate costing, competitive pricing and effective management of commercial risks.

Key responsibilities

• Review RFQs, tender documents, drawings and specifications to develop tender strategies.
• Lead preparation, coordination and timely submission of technical and commercial bids.
• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs and BOQs from IFC, GA and Tekla drawings for various project types.
• Verify drawing revisions, maintain quantity registers and revision history.
• Develop cost sheets, selling price analyses and support pricing approvals.
• Review payment terms, warranties, liquidated damages and other contractual risks.
• Support commercial negotiations, variation pricing, claims and post‑award handover.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly tendering, BOQ, vendor comparison, MIS and bid win/loss reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical or Quantity Surveying.
• 8–12 years of experience in tendering, estimation or commercial management.
• At least 3 years in a senior Quantity Surveyor or Tendering Manager role.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and decision‑making abilities.
