International Consultant – Technical Support for SBC Design & Implementation

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an international consultant to provide technical assistance for the Tanzania Social Action Fund (TASAF) under the Imarisha Kaya programme. The consultant will design, operationalize and institutionalize an integrated Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) strategy to strengthen nutrition, early childhood development, adolescent development and economic inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize an integrated SBC strategy and related implementation tools for the Imarisha Kaya programme.
• Provide technical support to TASAF in designing SBC radio programmes and community‑lead initiatives across the identified focus areas.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in communication, anthropology, community psychology, social marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in strategic communication, behavioural sciences and advocacy, including 5–10 years of research experience on national SBC programmes.
• Demonstrated leadership in designing SBC radio programmes and community initiatives in developing‑country contexts, preferably in Africa.
• Fluency in English; experience working with social protection programmes and government ministries is desirable.
