About the role
This is a six‑month paid traineeship within the Political, Press and Information Section of the EU Delegation in Tanzania. It offers recent graduates the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in diplomatic work, political analysis and public diplomacy.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Section head by analysing political developments and drafting reports, speeches and briefings.
- Liaise with EU Member State embassies, attend meetings, and assist in organising official visits and diplomatic events.
- Monitor governance issues, draft Note Verbales and facilitate outreach to Tanzanian authorities.
- Contribute to visibility and public diplomacy initiatives, working with the Press and Information Officer to organise public events, workshops and communication campaigns.
Required profile
- Young graduate with at least a Bachelor degree (or equivalent).
- Maximum one year of professional experience after graduation.
- Excellent command of English.
- No more than six weeks of prior experience in EU institutions.
