Customer Service Officer

About the role

The Customer Service Officer will support the Business Center in Tanzania by handling data entry, banking transactions, cash management and direct customer interactions. Working within World Vision’s mission to aid vulnerable children, the role ensures accurate financial processing and high‑quality service for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate data entry, especially when tablet systems fail, and verify approval documents.
• Manage banking activities: register payments, issue receipts, initiate cheque payments, conduct bank reconciliations and handle bank correspondence.
• Oversee petty cash, process cash and cheque payments, and reimburse expenses according to policy.
• Provide front‑line customer service: respond to inquiries, promote savings products, guide customers to appropriate channels, monitor ATM usage and resolve compliance issues.
• Report lost ATM cards, mobile lines, and any missing or problematic clients to the Business Center Manager.
• Mobilize and market savings, open accounts and ensure KYC documentation is approved.
• Maintain custody of client loan collaterals, handle office administration tasks, process parcels, compile complaints and manage stationery supplies.

Required profile

• Degree holder in Accounting.
• Ability to supervise and confirm mobile changes and ATM registrations.
• Attention to detail for data accuracy and document custody.
