About the role
The Construction Interior Designer will independently manage interior design projects from concept through hand‑over, ensuring designs meet client expectations, budgets, timelines and quality standards. The role involves creating design concepts, preparing detailed drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and conducting site inspections.
Key responsibilities
- Develop creative interior design concepts, mood boards, material palettes, space‑planning layouts and detailed drawings.
- Manage projects end‑to‑end: conduct site surveys, coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and suppliers, and monitor progress to maintain design intent.
- Engage with clients to understand requirements, present proposals, obtain approvals and provide regular updates.
- Prepare cost estimates, material schedules and ensure designs stay within approved budgets, recommending cost‑effective alternatives when needed.
- Conduct site inspections, verify workmanship against specifications and issue corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
- Plan and oversee facility maintenance, repairs and renovation works, coordinating contractors and ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Source finishes, furniture, fittings and décor, evaluate supplier proposals and manage delivery and installation schedules.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings and progress reports.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field; professional certification is a plus.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in interior design and construction project execution, preferably with fit‑out projects.
- Proven ability to handle commercial, residential, hospitality or corporate interior projects independently.
Required skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3Ds Max and Lumion.
- Strong space‑planning and visualization capabilities.
- Knowledge of interior materials, finishes, furniture, construction methods and building maintenance.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage project documentation.
