Brand Manager

About the role

East African Breweries PLC (EABL) is seeking a Brand Manager to leverage consumer insights and drive the development, implementation, and performance of its beverage brands across the region. The role is responsible for delivering net sales value (NSV) targets and overseeing brand advertising and promotion budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and execution of the annual strategic brand plan, managing the allocated budget.
• Analyse market research data to identify opportunities and inform brand strategy.
• Collaborate with external agencies and internal commercial teams to deliver creative campaigns and ensure alignment with brand objectives.
• Oversee brand advertising, promotional activities, and media strategy to drive sustainable growth.
• Monitor brand performance, availability, sales, and market share, taking corrective actions as needed.
• Recommend packaging updates and brand extensions in partnership with the Marketing Manager.
• Track brand costs, profitability, and prepare regular expenditure reports.
• Conduct trade visits to gather market intelligence.

• Proven ability to translate consumer insights into actionable brand strategies.
• Experience managing brand budgets and delivering NSV targets.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to evaluate market research data.
• Effective collaboration skills with external agencies and internal commercial teams.
