Schedule Coordinator (Fixed Term) – Paraparaumu

About the role

IDEA Services is looking for a Schedule Coordinator to join our team in Paraparaumu on an eight‑month fixed‑term basis covering parental leave. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to support individuals with intellectual disabilities by ensuring that our support workers are scheduled efficiently and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Support Workers and Service Managers to facilitate smooth roster coordination.
• Communicate regularly by phone with Support Workers to manage rosters and address short‑notice sick leave.
• Adapt quickly to high‑pressure situations, using creative problem‑solving to keep services uninterrupted.

Required profile

• Previous scheduling or rostering experience is desirable but not mandatory; full training will be provided.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
• Ability to plan work efficiently, thrive in a high‑pressure environment, and resolve problems promptly.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build positive professional relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
